Privacy Policy

Overview

Finer ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered styling service, whether through the Finer iOS app or the web experience at finer.fit. Where the two differ, we say so explicitly.

Information We Collect

• Account: Your email address, used to sign in and identify your account. When you complete the web style quiz and enter your email, we create a Finer account and style profile for you so you can sign in to the iOS app with the same email and continue where you left off.
• Style Profile: Your answers to our style quiz (gender presentation, style preferences, occasion) and the resulting style profile. This is stored with your account so your stylist remembers you across the web and the iOS app.
• Selfie Photo (optional): If you enable personalized "Precision Fit" rendering, we use your selfie to generate AI images of you wearing recommended outfits. In the iOS app your selfie is stored in a private storage bucket accessible only to your account, so your looks can be rendered without re-uploading it. On the web your selfie is processed in real time and is not stored; the generated preview images of you are kept in a private storage bucket so they can be shown to you.
• Closet Data (iOS app): Items you save, mark as owned, or mark as purchased, and outfits you generate.
• Photos You Scan (iOS app): Images you submit to the Material Scanner are sent to our AI provider for analysis and are not used to build a profile of you.
• Stylist Chat Messages (iOS app): Messages you send to your stylist, along with your style profile, are shared with OpenAI to write your recommendations. They are never used to train OpenAI's models and are never sold.
• Context Signals (iOS app, optional): With your permission, we read your location, local weather, and calendar availability to compose your daily outfit. These signals are used only to style you and are never sold or used for advertising.
• Push Notification Tokens (iOS app, optional): If you enable notifications, we store your device token so we can deliver them.
• Payment Information: In the iOS app, subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase. On the web, payments are processed securely through Stripe. In both cases we never see or store your payment details.
• Email Address (web): If you choose to receive your outfit recommendations via email.

How We Use Your Selfie

When you use our "Precision Fit" personalized styling feature:

• Your selfie is sent to Google's Gemini AI solely to generate outfit visualization images, and to no other third party.
• Your selfie is never used for training AI models.
• In the iOS app, your selfie is stored privately, linked only to your account, and used only to render your outfits and your style persona. You can remove it at any time in the app; removal deletes the stored photo and the generated images of your likeness.
• On the web, your selfie is processed in real time and deleted after your images are generated. The generated images of you are stored in a private bucket, not shared publicly.

Data Retention

• iOS app account data: Your profile, selfie, closet, and generated outfit images are retained while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app (Settings) permanently removes all of it.
• Web selfie photos: Processed in real time and not stored. Deleted after image generation. Generated preview images of you are retained privately so your looks can be displayed.
• Email addresses (web): Retained only if you opt in to receive communications.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: For composing stylist chat responses and outfit recommendations. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini AI: For generating outfit images. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: For authentication and secure storage of account data in the iOS app. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Apple In-App Purchase: For subscription billing in the iOS app. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Superwall: For managing subscription paywalls in the iOS app. Subject to Superwall's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: For secure payment processing on the web. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend: For email delivery on the web. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics: For understanding how the website is used. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel: For measuring ad performance on the web. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.
• TikTok Pixel: For measuring ad performance on the web. Subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI Ads: For measuring which ads lead to signups and purchases on the web, using the hashed identifiers described below. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: For website hosting and aggregate traffic analytics. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Advertising and Analytics

On the web, we use analytics and advertising measurement tools to understand how people find Finer and which ads lead to signups. These tools record events such as page views, quiz completion, and purchases, along with technical details like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit on finer.fit. We also retain first-party campaign parameters, ad click references, and a pseudonymous browser identifier so a completed purchase can be connected to the campaign that brought you to Finer.

To measure whether an ad led to a signup, we share a limited set of identifiers with our advertising partners. Where we share your email address for this purpose, it is first converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash (SHA-256) in your browser or on our server, so the partner receives a scrambled value rather than your actual address. We may also share your IP address and browser user agent for the same matching purpose. Some partners, including OpenAI Ads, additionally offer automatic matching, which detects contact details such as an email address or name on the page and hashes them before they are sent.

A hashed identifier cannot be read back as your email address, but it is stable, meaning it can be used to recognize the same person across sites. We therefore treat it as personal information.

We never share the following with advertising or analytics partners: your selfie, the outfit images generated from it, your passwords, or your payment card details. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and never reach our advertising tools.

You can limit this collection using your browser's privacy settings, a tracking blocker, or the opt-out and ad personalization controls offered by each provider listed above. Blocking these tools does not affect your ability to use Finer.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Use Finer without Precision Fit: skip the selfie and outfits render on a model instead of you.
• Remove your selfie at any time in the iOS app, which also deletes generated images of your likeness.
• Delete your account and all associated data directly in the iOS app (Settings).
• Request deletion of any email address we have on file.
• Contact us with any privacy concerns.
